But who could catch him?

A few weeks ago, Fernando Alonso had said that "he had the good fortune to be the only rider to be able to choose which team to go." Soon it is consumed divorce with the Prancing Horse. Fernando was promptly replaced by Sebastian Vettel, who was also at loggerheads with the Red Bull. 
And Alonso? Well, Alonso was very easy, but in reality it is not that Spanish has many possibilities. Indeed, in hindsight, it has only one. But first things first. Once "burned" the Ferrari, there are only three other top teams: Red Bull, Mercedes and McLaren. The first is to be excluded a priori. Red Bull, for his choice, he runs and will run only with the drivers of your nursery, as Kvyat, Ricciardo, and the same Vettel. The landing of a pilot stated to the court of Marko and Matenschitz therefore appears unlikely. Then there would be the Mercedes, the strongest team of the moment, and also the club where Alonso would arrive. However, the line up of the Star, for now, is armored. Sure, the drivers of the Silver Arrows are often at loggerheads gone, so much so that only Rosberg has signed a new contract (Hamilton is still pending, but will probably remain in Stuttgart). Alonso, however, would like to be able to choose whether to stay at the end of the year, and then go in Mercedes Rosberg and Hamilton in case they decide to leave the German team. In these terms become reasonable hypothesis of the sabbatical year. Idea, however, strongly denied dall'asturiano. Finally, last crazy idea: the Lotus, the former Renault (team with which Alonso won two titles). The Enstone team next year will mount the engines Mercedes, and we talk insistently also the return of Flavio Briatore in the Circus, right in Lotus. 
In short, the situation is not simple Alonso and the McLaren Honda seems the only way forward. 
Otherwise, the Spaniard could go to Williams: the team of Groove is in great shape, and Fernando find his former teammate Massa ... Which would be certainly happy!

Alonso? Ma chi se lo piglia?

Alcune settimane fa, Fernando Alonso aveva dichiarato che "aveva la fortuna di essere l'unico pilota a poter scegliere in che scuderia andare". Di lì a poco si è consumato il divorzio con il Cavallino Rampante. Fernando è stato prontamente rimpiazzato con Sebastian Vettel, anche lui ai ferri corti con la Red Bull.
E Alonso? Bè, Alonso la faceva molto facile, ma in realtà non è che lo spagnolo abbia molte possibilità. Anzi, a ben vedere, ne ha una sola. Ma andiamo con ordine. Una volta "bruciata" la Ferrari, restano solo altri tre top team: Red Bull, Mercedes e McLaren. La prima è da escludere a priori. La Red Bull, per sua scelta, corre e correrà solo con i piloti del proprio vivaio, come Kvyat, Ricciardo, e lo stesso Vettel. L'approdo di un pilota già affermato alla corte di Marko e Matenschitz appare quindi improbabile. Poi ci sarebbe la Mercedes, il team più forte del momento, e anche la squadra dove Alonso vorrebbe giungere. Tuttavia la line up della Stella, per ora, è blindata. I vertici Mercedes non hanno intenzione di cambiare la loro formazione. Certo, i piloti delle Frecce d'Argento sono spesso andati ai ferri corti, tant'è che solo Rosberg ha rinnovato il contratto (Hamilton è ancora in sospeso, ma probabilmente resterà a Stoccarda). Resterebbe solo la McLaren Honda. Per Alonso sarebbe un ritorno (corse per la scuderia inglese nel 2007) e il motorista nipponico sarebbe ben contento di avere il duue volte Campione del Mondo in squadra. il problema è che Fernando vorrebbe una vettura vincente subito, mentre la McLaren avrebbe bisogno di almeno un anno di "assestamento". Tra l'altro la Honda ha proposto un contratto di tre anni. Alonso, invece, vorrebbe poter scegliere se restare alla fine dell'anno, e andare poi in Mercedes nel caso Rosberg o Hamilton decideranno di lasciare il team tedesco. In questi termini diventerebbe ragionevole l'ipotesi dell'anno sabbatico. Idea però smentita fermamente dall'asturiano. Infine, ultima pazza idea: la Lotus, ex Renault (team con cui Alonso vinse due Titoli). La squadra di Enstone il prossimo anno monterà i motori Mercedes, e si parla insistentemente anche del ritorno di Flavio Briatore nel Circus, proprio in Lotus.
Insomma, la situazione di Alonso non è semplice, e la McLaren Honda sembra l'unica strada percorribile.
Altrimenti lo spagnolo potrebbe andare in Williams: il team di Groove è in gran forma, e Fernando troverebbe il suo ex teammate Massa... Il quale ne sarebbe certamente felicissimo!

Vettel Red already in Abu Dhabi? Not, but...

Vettel Rosso già ad Abu Dhabi? No, ma...

Qualcuno aveva azzardato che Sebastian Vettel attuale (anche se ancora per poco ) Campione del Mondo, in forze alla Red Bull (anche questo per soli altri 3 Gran Premi) avrebbe potuto correre i test di fine stagione, che si disputeranno dopo la gara di Abu Dhabi. I vertici Red Bull, però, hanno posto il veto. Il contratto di Seb scade alla fine dell'anno, e fino al 31 dicembre 2014 il tedesco non potrà mettersi al volante di una Rossa. Dal 1° gennaio 2015 Vettel sarà libero dal team austriaco, ma non prima. Ovviamente potrà andare a Maranello, fare il sedile, lavorare con il simulatore, ma gli impegni ufficiali dovranno attendere la fine dell'anno. Intanto, Sebastian è stato escluso dalla progettazione della RB11, la monoposto dei bibitari per la prossima stagione. E a Ricciardo sono stati assegnati i ranghi di prima guida (il prossimo anno, infatti, sarà affiancato dal giovanissimo russo Daniil Kvyat).
Nel frattempo, a Maranello, fervono le attività: continuano ad arrivare nuovi tecnici per rinforzare il team, e ancora tante epurazioni e tanti nuovi arrivi ci saranno. Tra cui, appunto, quello di Seb. Kimi Raikkonen ha dichiarato "Sebastian è un amico: il suo arrivo porterà una bella atmosfera nella squadra." Un modo per dire che con Alonso, invece, i rapporti ormai erano logori. Kimi nutre anche qualche dubbio sulla parità di trattamento riservata ai piloti Ferrari. Nella sua F14, ci sarebbe qualcosa che non va, e ad Austin Kimi userà un nuovo telaio.
Vedremo. Intanto, fonti vicine a Vettel, rivelano che il tedesco ha accettato l'offerta della Ferrari consapevole del fatto che il 2015 non sarà entusiasmante. Ma Sebastian ha valutato il piano di sviluppo a lungo termine di Mattiacci, ritenendolo soddisfacente.

Vettel will start last in Austin "stupid rules"!

Sebastian Vettel is angry with the FIA. Very angry. The reason? Seb, in two weeks, in Austin, will be forced to start from the pitlane. Vettel partirà ultimo ad Austin "regole stupide"!

Sebastian Vettel è arrabbiato con la FIA. Molto arrabbiato. Il motivo? Seb, tra due settimane, ad Austin, sarà costretto a partire dalla pitlane. La Red Bull, infatti, sarà costretta a sostituire, in occasione del GP americano, l'intera power unit della vettura del tedesco. La sostituzione del solo motore termico comporta una penalizzazione di 10 posizioni, più altre 5 per ogni altra componente. In caso di sostituzione completa della PU (come nel caso di Vettel) c'è la partenza dalla pitlane. Il Campione del Mondo in carica è estremamente indispettito con la FIA. "è una regola stupida, nemmeno potrò partecipare alle qualifiche. Cosa pensano i tifosi nel vedere un pilota fermo solo perchè deve usare un nuovo motore?".
In effetti, quella della sostituzione dei motori è una faccenda spinosa. L'affidabilità di unità motrici completamente nuove non è stata sufficiente per molti piloti (Kvyat è partito con 10 posizioni di penalità in Italia, e Alonso ha avuto rotture a Monza e Suzuka) e anche altri dovranno ricorrere alla sesta power unit.
Comunque la decisione della Red Bull di cambiare la PU era preventivata: non è stato fatto in Russia, perchè a Sochi è difficile sorpassare, mentre ad Austin è possibile fare una rimonta. Ma sarà dura per il futuro ferrarista.
